What's happening in WandaVision?!

After the teaser trailer for the upcoming Marvel shows on Disney+, fans have been wondering what's going on in WandaVision.

The 30-second teaser gave a lot of snippets of Wanda during different eras of sitcoms and we know it's connected directly to Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness. But other than that - we got nothing.

Marvel executives are keeping things hush-hush for the time being but we know Wanda is about to play a major role in Phase 4 and WandaVision and Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness will shake up the MCU going forward.

Here are three theories of what can be happening in WandaVision.

Wanda Is Already In The Multiverse

The multiverse is the term for all the parallel dimensions which exist in the MCU. We've seen it already teased and mentioned in one way or another across multiple MCU films.

What if Wanda is already in the multiverse?

We as the audience can be witnessing Wanda jumping from one reality to another and see how her life would be in those alternate realities. But what made Wanda jump into the multiverse?

Vision.

Last we saw Vision, he was busy getting the Mind Stone ripped from his forehead by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

With this theory, Wanda will realize she has the power to enter the multiverse and is learning to navigate her way through it to bring back the version of Vision she lost to her reality.

If she manages to achieve this, she would undoubtedly affect multiple realities in the process which will have dire consequences. Consequences that'll ripple into Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness. One such consequence could be Scarlet Witch becomes the multiverse of madness.

Not just anyone can access the multiverse. The sheer fact Wanda can travel across dimensions showcases how powerful she's becoming. Wanda's increased power, her recent losses, and in the comic book a history of mental trauma can all play a factor in Wanda losing herself in all these different realities. Leading Wanda to become the main antagonist in Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness.

Giving a new layer to the title Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness otherwise known as Wanda's broken psyche.

WandaVision Takes Place In Wanda's & Vision's Mind

This is one of the easier theories because we can see anything happen in the series and at the end find out it was all in their minds.

Vision is an android so it isn't hard to rebuild him. We still have Shuri alive in the MCU. The thing that made Vision unique and able to become "human" was the Mind Stone.

Sadly, the physical manifestations of the Infinity Stones were destroyed by Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. But you know who else is connected to the Mind Stone?

Wanda.

Wanda and Vision are intrinsically linked because of the Mind Stone. What we can see in WandaVision is a rebuilt Vision without his human characteristics. Wanda uses their link with the Mind Stone to bring back the human consciousness of Vision.

Which means everything we see in WandaVision is inside both of their minds as Wanda attempts to bring back the human consciousness of Vision.

Wanda Is Being Held Prisoner

With this theory, I'm going by the idea WandaVision won't be happening in sequential order. Only by the end of the series will the audience truly understand what's going on.

What if Wanda's powers have grown so vast that she's affecting the multiverse unconsciously?

Without a way to control Wanda's powers, there may be a need for someone to "sedate" her while they attempt to figure out how to help her.

Similar to how Professor X mentally sedated Wanda in the comic book storyline House of M. Without a Professor X in the MCU who could help Wanda?

What about her magic mentor from the comic books Agatha Harkness?

We know actress Kathryn Hahn is in WandVision but as of now, she has no official character name. Which is a clear sign she's playing a major character and knowing her name would be a huge spoiler.

A picture of Kathryn Hahn onset reveals her character wearing the color purple. The color purple is a predominant color associated with Agatha Harkness.

Could Kathryn Hahn be portraying Agatha Harkness in the MCU? Let's take a look.

In the comic books, Agatha Harkness is a very powerful witch and is notably known for mentoring Scarlet Witch with the development of her powers.

Also, she's the one responsible for mind-wiping Wanda about the initial loss of her children. When Wanda realizes this she accidentally kills her mentor.

During the storyline House of M, Wanda uses her reality-altering powers to give all the heroes their heart's desire. What if WandaVision is using this plotline with a twist? Instead, Agatha is holding Wanda in a magical prison by giving her what her heart desires most, which is to be with Vision, while they attempt to find a way to control her powers.

What the audience is seeing in WandaVision is Wanda realizing her reality isn't real and she's being held prisoner. Keeping Wanda in this magical prison where she can't tell what's real and what isn't maybe the beginning of her descent into madness.

Also, it may be possible Kathryn Hahn is portraying another powerful sorceress from the comic books - Clea.

In the comics, Clea is a disciple and lover to Dr. Strange. The color purple is a predominant color in her costume and she happens to be the niece of Dormammu. All this would make Clea the perfect character to introduce in WandaVision and then carry on over to Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse Of Madness.
